The mustang is the symbol of pure, unfettered freedom in the west of America. Like Australia with its brumbies, America loves its wild horses. But there are too many of them. 50,000 captured wild horses are waiting in government holding facilities to be adopted. But who is willing to take on the challenge of taming these wild creatures?

“Unbranded” follows four recent college graduates who decide to have the adventure of a lifetime. They will adopt and train sixteen wild horses, and travel on horseback the 3000 miles between Mexico and Canada. On their way, they will pass through many of the United State’s most iconic natural sights, including Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.

This extraordinary, inspiring film has proven a fast audience favourite, winning the Audience Choice Award at Hot Docs and Telluride Mountainfilm. It also relied on its audience for a large portion of its funding, getting over $170,000 from a Kickstarter campaign. People wanted to see this film – and you will too!
