“The Most Dangerous Man in America..” is my biopic of the most notorious whistleblower of the 20th century, the man who inspired Edward Snowden to become the most notorious whistleblower of  the 21st century.  The Most Dangerous Man in America, tells the story of how Daniel Ellsberg came to release the Pentagon Papers in 1971 and how President Richard Nixon tried to destroy him. Edward Snowden told Ellsberg that viewing my film hardened his resolve to release NSA documents to the public.”

Actor and writer Stephen Fry explores his passion for the world’s most controversial composer – Richard Wagner. But Stephen is Jewish and lost family members in the Holocaust, so can he salvage the music he loves from its dark association with anti-semitism and the Nazis? Shot on location in Germany, Switzerland and Russia, the film includes unique behind-the-scenes access to the Bayreuth Festival, the annual extravaganza of Wagner’s music held in the composer’s own purpose built theatre.

This week beamafilm is bringing you another powerful documentary from war journalists Sebastian Junger and the late Tim Hetherington. Six years ago, the pair documented the men who manned the Forward Operating Base Restrepo, giving a humanized look into the war many disagreed with. The film did away with any political agenda instead focusing on the people who fight and the effects war has on them. Tragically Tim Hetherington was killed while covering the Libyan Civil War and could not finish the follow up to the popular film Restrepo, however, in his memory Sebastian Junger completed the film with a successful Kickstarter campaign.
